The Pine tree is one of the oldest tree species in existence. Growing among rocks and stones where there is almost no soil, beaten by winds and weather, they inspire us to rise above difficulties and persist against the odds. In ancient Ireland trees were hugely significant to the Celts. They believed different kinds of trees served different mystical purposes that helped them through their lives. Each tree had its own personality and spirit. The evergreen Pine trees brought assurances of life during the winter...

Malin Head is situated on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal and is the most northerly point of the island of Ireland.

Malin Head also known as Cionn Mhálanna in gaelic is an historical place, it was visited by the Vikings, the ancient Celts and Saint Columbkille over the centuries. In more recent history it was the last place seen by many Irish people as they left their home country for Americian shores.
