"Bobby Schenk has been cited as one of the greatest navigators of our time according to ‘Yacht’ magazine. In 1970, Bobby Schenk and his wife Carla traveled around the world in his yacht called Thalassa. Since then, he has accomplished many amazing feats: bypassing Cape Horn, crossing the Tierra del Fuego archipelago (often considered the graveyard of sunken ships), all while completing numerous world trips. Bobby and Carla Schenk have faced many perilous situations and all without the help of GPS or modern tools. Bobby Schenk’s books have sold over 500,000 copies and have been translated into 10 different languages. In addition to all of that, he has worked as a judge and boating consultant.
