I love the West coast of Ireland... This is an evocative oil painting of Achill Island, at the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way, on the west coast of Ireland. The Island is one of the most ruggedly beautiful and scenic areas in the country. The painting captures a bright sunny day at a wonderful sandy beach on Achill, with the dramatic backdrop of the Slievemore, which literally translates as ‘Big Mountain'. It is easy to see why the Island has captured the imagination of so many over the years...  This painting is now sold.

This is my latest painting... It captures a silent Winter landscape. The scene is of Winter trees in the snow with an atmospheric sky above. The painting is minimalistic and has a semi abstract style...   The edges of the canvas are painted white so the painting is ready to hang without framing if required.
