This is a new artwork in the Paintings of Ireland series... This is a dramatic oil Painting on canvas of clouds over the beautiful Malin Head in Donegal. Malin Head, on the Wild Atlantic Way, is a rugged, unspoilt and spectacular place. It is renowned for it’s superb coastal scenery, wonderful beaches and wildlife. Malin Head is situated on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal and is the most northerly point of the island of Ireland. Malin Head also known as Cionn Mhálanna in gaelic is an historical place, it was visited by the Vikings, the ancient Celts and Saint Columbkille over the centuries. In more recent history it was the last place seen by many Irish people as they left their home country for Americian shores... The edges of the canvas are painted white so it is ready to hang without a frame if required...

Beautiful painting, very atmospheric. In fact you've captured the place so well I almost feel like I'm there!
